Wasson - On Thursday, September 5, 1901, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Q. Wilson, Boxelder Valley. Mrs. Rebecca Wasson, Wife of S.R. Wasson, aged 73 years and 7 months.

Rebecca Pangburn Wasson was the daughter of Lines Lyons Pangburn and Rebecca Applegate Pangubrn of Brown County, Ohio.

She married Samuel Ross Wasson on February 5, 1846 in Brown County, Ohio. They were the parents of ten children, six daughters and four sons.

Three of her young sons, James Ross Wasson, Nathaniel Randolph Wasson and Samuel Horn Wasson died young and are buried in the Pisgah Ridge cemetery in Brown County, Ohio. Her parents are also buried in that same cemetery.

She was the mother of Samuel Horn Wasson, Ophelia Fife Wasson Fetters, Elizabeth H. Wasson Mefford, James Ross Wasson, Angela Macaroy Wasson Young, Lines Pangburn Wasson, Mary Ellen Wasson, Nathaniel Radolph Wasson, Frances A. Wasson and Julia Ann Wasson Wilson.

After abt. 1858, Rebecca and Samuel relocated to Henry County, Illinois, then to Warren County, Iowa and finally to Ft. Collins, Larimer County, Colorado.

She preceded her husband in death by three years.
