Funeral services are pending for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Ackerman, 57, who passed away on April 15 in Osage from an apparent heart attack. Funeral services are incomplete due to the fact that a son, Edward, is stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army.
Services will be held in the Immaculate Conception Church in Riceville with the Reverend J. W. Bohr officiating.
Mrs. Ackerman was born August 24, 1910 the daughter of Edwin Condon and Margaret Doran, in Riceville, Iowa.
She is survived by her husband, Martin, Elma; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Delores) Reich, Cannon Falls, Minnesota; one son, Edward, U.S. Army, Germany; two brothers, Maurice, New Haven and James, Waterloo; four sisters, Mrs. Art (Helen) Hentges, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; Mrs. E. W. (Nina) Burke, Waterloo; Mrs. Francis (Catherine) Vikstadt, Mazzappa, Minnesota; Miss Margaret Condon, Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Riceville with the Chisholm Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
