Jan served in the United States Air Force. He was deaf in one ear. When we were kids, he used to go fishing a lot at the lake in Danville, IL. Before I was in college, he was living with Aunt Bea and Uncle Verle in Danville, and he had a horse that he kept in Armstrong at our cousin Louise's farm. She was a very pretty horse. Jan was married at least four times, twice to the same wife.
