A native of Caswell County, he was a former salesman for Heater Well, an employee of G.K.N. and a deacon at his church.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Helen Everett Allred; sons, Michael Wayne Allred of Mebane, Mark Everett Allred of the home; father, Joseph Tennon Allred of Burlington; sisters, Mrs. Ruby Hall, Mrs. Doris Hyler, Mrs. Betty Long, Mrs. Peggy Faucette, Mrs. Frankie Sartin, all of Burlington; brothers, Bobby Lee Allred of Lugoff, S.C., William Lonnie "Billy" Allred of Burlington.
