Carl Osborne Witwer, aged 45, of 929 South 29th street, died in his home at 1 a.m. today after a sudden heart attack. He was born in North Liberty, this county, June 29, 1896, and lived here his entire life. He was a truck driver. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Witwer, South Bend; two daughters, Vera May and Maxine Witwer, both Mishawaka; a sister, Mrs. Herbert Hill, Mishawaka, and two brothers, Arthur G. and Robert Witwer, of South Bend. He was a veteran of the world war and a member of River Park post No. 303, American Legion. Friends may call at the Earl G. Hollis funeral home until the funeral there at 2 p.m., Thursday. Rev. W. Grant Ward, pastor of River Park Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery."
