KARL FRANK MOORE, December 1947 ~ June 2009
Karl was born in Germany in December of 1947 to Hubert Frank and Frieda Sophie Moore. Karl is survived by his wife Karen and his children Cassandra, Nathaniel and Rebecca; grandchildren Serena, Sarah, Joshua, Tynan, Alexander, Christopher and Ryan; mother Frieda Moore; sister Shirley Lamphier of Hayward, California; and brother Ed Moore of Everett, Washington. He was preceded in death by his first wife Christine Moore.

Karl received his B.A. in Mathematics from Cal Poly in Pomona, and an A.S. in Computer Programming from Control Data Institute in Hayward. He served as a Medic at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium and was an Independent Insurance Broker for the last 35 years. He loved fishing, camping, travel, gardening, BBQ, playing card games and loved being with family and friends most of all.

Karl was an Elder, Deacon and Sunday school teacher at First Christian Church of Castro Valley and First Christian Church of Hayward until moving to Modesto in 1999. He was a member of American Legion Post 0088 and VFW Post 5059 in Turlock. Karl was a Scout master for 7 years, and led Troop 815 in Hayward. He was multilingual, a sharpshooter, he had a strong desire to evangelize, and had a heart for children. He gave of his time to help the needy; he was humble and had a generous spirit.
