Clarence William Huff was the only child of Clarence Roy Huff and Jessie Irene (nee Green) Huff.

'C Dubb' graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia campus, with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, June, 1936, and was a newspaper reporter for 'The Eldon Advertiser', in Eldon, Missouri when WWII broke out.

He enlisted in the US Army on 25 September, 1942.
At the time of his enlistment, he claimed one dependant. His enlistment record reports his height of 5'6" and weight of 128 pounds; brown hair, brown eyes.
Clarence attained the rank of Colonel before retiring from military service in 1967. He then was employed in civil service at Fort Huachuca, AZ until the early 1980s.
He resided in Bisbee, Arizona for almost 30 years, and moved to Northern California with his 3rd wife, residing near her relatives, in the late 1990s. Third wife is/was Margaret Chen-Fen (Chiang) Huff.

Surviving children of "C Dubb" are Janice, b. 1949, from his first marriage, Mary, b. 1954, from his second marriage, and Robert, Linda, and William, b. 1959-1962, from his third marriage.
8 grandchildren at the time of his death; a boy and a girl to each of Mary, Robert, Linda and William.
