Daredevil. On July 2, 1984, he made history when he went over Niagara Falls in a barrel. Soucek's 2.7 meter long 1.5 diameter cylindrical shaped barrel with fibreglass mouldings at either end was insulated with liquid foam, and equipped with snorkel for breathing and 2 eye holes to look out. His trip took 3.2 seconds, but he became trapped in dangerous waters for 45 minutes. He was eventually rescued but received minor bruises, a chipped tooth, and an injury to his left arm. He was fined $500 for the stunt and released.
