VIRGINIA BEACH - John Locke Foil, 82, of the 3100 block of Shore Drive, died Jan. 26, 2003.
He was born July 3, 1920, in Salisbury, N.C., to the late Rufus Littleton Foil and the late Ila Link Foil. He was a charter member of Wycliffe Presbyterian Church, former member of Virginia Beach Sports Club, and the Broad Bay Country Club. He was a Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite and retired as an officer from the U.S. Navy Supply Corp after 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Current Foil.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Holy Trinity Chapel in Westminster Canterbury. Interment will be at a later date in National Cemetery, Salisbury, N.C. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Westminster Canterbury Foundation, 3100 Shore Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23451.
The Cremation Society of Virginia, Virginia Beach, is handling arrangements. Friends may sign the online guest register for Mr. Foil at www.cremate.org.
