MSgt(ret.) Theo (Ted) Foote, of Lampasas, died Monday, April 13, 2009 at his residence. He was 92.
Funeral services were held Friday at 3p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel with full military honors. His body will be cremated.
Mr. Foote was born Oct. 8, 1916 in Statesboro, GA to George W. Foote and Janie Davis Foote. He joined the Army at a young age and served during WWII. After the war he joined the U.S. Air Force and served in duty stations in Ansbach, Germany, Oberpheffenfofen, Germany, Ramstein AFB, Kelly AFB, Brooklet Field, Alabama, Korea, Orley Field Paris and retired at Gray AFB (now West Ft. Hood).
He married Rosemary Schreiner Dec. 15, 1948 in Stromberg, Germany. After his military retirement, he worked as the director of engineering at Ft. Hood for over 17 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Glenn Foote; and grandson, Kyle.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Foote of Lampasas; daughter, Norma Jeane Blake of Gatesville; sons, Terry Foote of Conroe and Earl Foote of Houston; sister, Janie Ruth Wallace of Poplarville, MS; brother, Benny Darrell Foote of Statesboro, GA; and two grandchildren.
