"Florence Marie Shinn, 91, of Pleasantville, passed away in Somers Point on April 7th, 2011. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, and resided in Pleasantville. Florence and her late husband, Alfred, owned and operated Decatur Cleaners in Pleasantville for 40 years. Florence belonged to the Women's Optimist Club of Pleasantville and the Pleasantville Republican Club.

Florence was predeceased by her husband, Alfred B. Shinn, and her son, Alfred B. Shinn, Jr.

She is survived and fondly remembered by her loving daughters, Rosemary Grimsley and her husband Ronald of Norwich, CT, Marie Viggiano and her husband Frank of Williamstown, and Helen Brooks and her husband Jesse of Lexington, NC; her sisters, Geraldine Kaplan of Orlando, FL and Marie Aaron of Trenton; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and closest, Best Friend Forever, Robert Krause."
