Richard W. "Dick" Acton, age 53, of Lancaster died Monday, March 17, 2003 at the Fairfield Medical Center.

He was a member of St. Mary Church. Richard taught school at Sanderson Elementary and formerly at Cheif Tarhe and South schools.

He is survived by: his wife of nine years, Holly R. (Harrison) Acton; sisters-in-law, Hedra R. Harrison of Cleveland and Hope Daw of Lancaster; brother-in-law, Gregory Hamilton of Lancaster; uncles, Robert (Patricia) Hoch of Lancaster and Paul Hoch of Elyria, Ohio; aunt, Betty (Robert) Clum of Lancaster; beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Robert and Catherine (Hoch) Acton; uncles, Frank, James, Fr. Richard, Charles, and George Hoch; aunts, Dorothy Robb and Mary King; father and mother-in-law, John H. and Mary S. Harrison; brother-in-law, J. Hal Harrison; and sister-in-law, Helen Hamilton.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM Friday at St. Mary Church with Fr. Donald E. Franks officiating. Friends may visit from 4:30 to 7:30 PM Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00PM Thursday at Sheridan Funeral Home. Vigil Service will be held at 7:30PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary Church Endowment Fund or The Forgotten 4-Paws.
