Bernard L. Boyd Sr., 83, of Louisville, died Sunday at Parkway Medical Center. He was a native of Elks Creek, KY, a retired cab driver for Yellow Cab Company and an Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by two daughters, Marla Y. (Michael) Ewing and Pamela Walker; three sons, William Daniel, Dale L. Boyd and Bernard L. Boyd Jr.; a sister, Willie M. Boyd; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at W.P. Porter Mortuary, 2611 Virginia Ave., with burial in Lebanon National Cemetery in Marion County, KY. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday.
