Dewey Houck was the youngest son of William Kelley Houck and Nina Virginia Nelson. He married Pearl Fox and had three children, Pauline, Wilda Evelyn (died in infancy) & George Kelly.

He worked for Bourbonais.

Dewey will long be remembered for the beautiful parakeets (budgies) that he raised and sold.
