ANN SHIRLEY EBERT DAVIS passed away early in the morning on Wednesday, the 14th of October 2009, at her home in Houston, Texas. She was 83.Ann in predeceased by her parents, Alfred H. and Almena Acklin Ebert; and daughter Julie Ann Driscoll. Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 65 years, "and that's not long enough," Sam Walkup Davis, Jr.; her children, Jeffrey Alan Davis and his wife Lisa of Houston, Jan Alleen Robinson and her husband Chris of Dallas, and son-in-law Arlen Driscoll, also of Houston; her grandchildren, Katelyn, Allison and Rebecca Davis, Christine Robinson, Kelly Robinson-Mohr and her husband Geoff, and Andrew and Alexander Driscoll. She is also survived by her brother, Alfred H. Ebert, Jr. and his wife Kay of Houston.A memorial service will be conducted at ten o'clock in the morning on Monday, the 19th of October, in the Chapel of Chapelwood United Methodist Church, 11140 Greenbay Street in Houston, where Rev. Mary Balagia will officiate.Immediately following, all are invited to join the family during a reception to be held at the church.The family will gather for a private interment service at a later date.In lieu of usual remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that contributions in Ann's memory be directed to the church or charity of the donor's choice, or consider a donation of just one unit of blood, the gift of life, to the blood center of choice.
