Graveside services for Billie N. McEachern, 72, of Richmond, will be held at 2:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, at 2:15 p.m. at the V.A. Houston National Cemetery in Houston. The Rev. Jerry Thomas will officiate the services.

Billie was born July 16, 1929 in Perth, Kan. to John W. McEachern and Ruth R. McDaniel McEachern. He passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2001, at his residence. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth McEachern, and his brother, Glenn McEachern.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Betty Farthing McEachern of Richmond; children, Connie Hendricks and husband, Jess, of Richmond, and James McEachern and wife, Crystal, of Houston; grandchildren, Kelley, Kendall, Holly, and Justin Hendricks, and James McEachern; brother, Arnold McEachern of Wichita, Kan.; sisters, Bonnie Ward and Mary Lou Hyter, both of Wichita, Kan.; and other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers were Justin Hendricks, Kelley Hendricks, Craig McKenzie, Will Warren, Brett Hesser, and James McEachern.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, in the state room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Boulevard (FM 2218 and Highway 59) in Rosenberg. (281) 341-8800.
