Clare M Stichler was born to Clare and Majel Mildred (Isbell) on January 2, 1922, in Lansing, MIchigan. He was survived by siblings Almond Stichler, Margaret Stichler Smith and half brother, Richard O Fitzgerald, (all deceased at the time of this update) and several nieces and nephews.
Uncle Clare used to visit my Grandmother occasionally and the picture of him in the lounger was taken by me as a child. He took my oldest sister for a ride in his Cadillac convertible. She loved it. My family did visit him in Texas one summer and I remember swimming in the pool at the apartment complex.
Clare was about 10 years old when he found his father, Clare in the kitchen dead. He had committed suicide by gasing himself with the stove. With in weeks my Grandmother married Otis Fitzgerald.
Clare was not a JR and I don't know who the others are that were mentioned in the obituary. It is believed that Clare moved to Texas to pursue an "alternative lifestyle", so those maybe family members of a "roommate". as Uncle Clare called them.
