Queen was the thirteenth of fifteen children born to John Washington and Elizabeth A. (Lane) Kivett. She married John Dee Wright and they were the parents of six children: Ruth Elizabeth, John Dee Jr., Ronald Gyles, Ural James, Sarah Ellen and Julius Cleveland. She married Arnold Phiilips in 1946.

Funeral for Mrs. Queen Elizabeth Kivett Wright, 59, of Siler City, who died yesterday in City Memorial Hospital, Thomasville, from injuries suffered several hours earlier in a truck-ambulance collision near Thomasville will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pentecostal Holiness Church in Siler City. Officiating will be Rev. Bennett D. Shelton, pastor. Interment will be in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery near Staley.
Mrs. Wright was a passenger in an ambulance involved in the accident three miles south of Thomasville at the intersection of Wheatmore Road and Highway 62 in Randolph County.
An attending physician reported that Mrs. Wright died from head injuries and shock. She had been an invalid for the past three years and was being transferred by ambulance from a rest home in Mooresville to one in Archdale.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. J. C. Kirkman jr of Greensboro and Mrs. James Killian of Meade, W. Va.; four sons, John D. Wright jr., Ronald Giles Wright, and Julius C. Wright, all of Greensboro and James Wright of Lexington; three brothers, Alfred Kivett of Asheboro, Clarence Kivett of Staley and Walter Kivett of Siler City and three sisters, Mrs. Rose Wright of Staley, Mrs. Jane Southern of Ramseur and Mrs. Ella Wright of Liberty.
The body will remain at Forbis & Dick Funeral Home until taken to the church for the service. The family will be at the home of Mrs. J. C. Kirkman, 722 S. Elam Ave.
