Funeral services for Elliott M. Anderson, Jackson Route 1, were held this afternoon at the McCombs Funeral Home here with the Rev. Curtis Cochran officiating.
Burial was in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery east of Pocahontas.
Mr. Anderson, 71 years old, died Tuesday afternoon in a Cape Girardeau hospital. He was born Nov. 7, 1896 in Jackson.
He was a veteran of World War I and was employed in St. Louis, for a number of years. Six years ago, he retired and moved to the present address.
Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Virginia R. Casteel; a son Robert E. Anderson, Fenton; a daughter, Mrs. Roberta Ruth Petty, Rowland Heights, Calif.; two brothers, the Rev. Carl W. Anderson, St. Louis, and Robert E. Anderson, Jennings; three sisters, Mrs. E. B. Bowers, Miss Lillian Anderson and Mrs. Cross McClard all of Jackson, and three grandchildren.
