George F Hunt, son of William and Rebecca F Hunt, was born in February 1850, and died August 22, 1922, at the home of his son, John Hunt of Huntsville, age 72 years, 5 months and 23 days.
Mr Hunt was born near Pittsburg, PA. He came to Missouri at the age of nine years. He was married to Martha J Tillerson on July 2, 1870. There were 13 children born, 10 of whom are living, namely: Mrs E M Spears, Mrs W R Brockman, Francis M Hunt, John Hunt, Thomas Hunt, Norton Hunt, Chester Hunt, all of Huntsville, James E Hunt of Philadelphia,PA, Mrs Fred Barcus of Detroit MI, Mrs Susan Carmen of St Louis. All of the children were present except James C Hunt and Mrs Fred Barcus.
His wife died nine years ago.
The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at the Christian church conducted by Rev J H Linn, assisted by Rev R R Watts.
