They farmed in Hancock Co. near La Harpe, IL and later retired to Hazelton, IA where Henry was living when he died.
Youngest child, Charles Dean Brandt born Mary 23, 1929 died Jan 7,2010 in AZ. We do not know his cemetery.
Henry Brandt did not have a middle name just the letter L.
Henry added the L in family Bible when he was young..
Henry asked his mother Magdalena Gerken Brandt if he could add the letter L.
Leonard is what he told people, but L is what was always listed in his signature.
Leonard is no where to be found, only L.
Henry Brandt son Henry Junior Brandt was to be a Henry L. Jr. and it got messed up.

Henry's grandmother was Catherina Margaret “Ada” Helmers Gerken in Sibley Illinois.
