Mr. J.H. Wilhoit, aged eighty, died Friday night at eight o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Guy Hankins after a long illness.

He is survived by ten children, L.A. Wilhoit of High Springs, Fla., V.R. Wilhoit, D.C. Wilhoit, O.L. Wilhoit, and E.R. Wilhoit of Telford, L.J. Wilhoit of Johnson City, Mrs. J.M. Dinsmore of Riceville, and B.H. Wilhoit, Mrs. J.R. Goode, and Mrs. Hankins of Greeneville.

Funeral will be held from the home of Mrs. Hankins Sunday afternoon at three o'clock by the Rev. L.A. Wertz, pastor of the Lutheran Church. Interment will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Messrs. Luke Ellenburg, Leonard Baker, Payne Kiker, Stokley Whittaker, and Jame Greer.

Honorary pallbearers will include Messrs. Sam Cutshaw, R. L. Craven, W. P. Price, J.H. Rader, L.L. Nease, S.B. Linebarger, M.L. Cobble, F.A. Rosenblatt, Lace Kiker, Elmer Harmon, S.V. Jenkins.

Mr. Wilhoit is a native of Greene County, having been born and raised here. He was for many years representative of the Standard Oil Company in this city retiring 17 years ago.

He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church.
