The Republic, October 5, 1978:

Clarence E. Reiman, 86, Berlin RD 1, died Sept. 29, 1978 at Somerset Community Hospital. He was born July 29, 1892, in Stonycreek Township, son of Jeremiah J. and Rebecca (Schrock) Reiman. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Blanche Knepper, who died in 1952, and his second wife, Mary Glessner, who died in 1977; one daughter June Barkman, two sisters and one brother. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Ray (Janet) Bates, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Roy (Helen) Engle, Berlin RD 1; Mrs. Dan (Irene) Evans, Stoystown RD 3; Clair Reiman, Berlin RD 1; and Mrs. John (Doris) Coby, Canton, Ohio; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Brothersvalley Church of the Brethren. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin where services were held at the Brothersvalley Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Owen Preston officiating. Interment, Brotherton Pike Cemetery.
