Enlisted 26 Aug 1861 at Frog Level, Newberry County SC . Wounded (gunshot in thigh) at Battle of White Oak Road west of Petersburg 31 Mar 1865. Died of wound at Farmville Confederate Hospital 3 May 1865. According to compiled Confederate Service Record, he's buried at this location, referred to as Hospital Cemetery (in a mass grave of 600 Confederate Soldiers).
