~Centertown Sailor Killed~
Wilborn [sic] Lee Ashby, 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. O.W. Ashby, Centertown, Route 1, was reported killed in action, by the Navy department, according to a telegram received Tuesday.
Young Ashby enlisted in the United Stated Navy, September 24, 1940.
Surviving are the parents, three brothers, Sergeant Shelby C. Ashby, J.D. Ashby, William Ashby, and two sisters, Mrs. Altha Stroud, Owensboro, and Martha Ashby, at home.
