Louis Martin McCollum, 80, of Beloit, Wisconsin, died, Monday, June 27, 2011 at his home in Beloit. Louis was born on May 12, 1931 in Beloit, the son of Art and Lucy (Knapp) McCollum. Louis served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married the former Darlene Clark on November 18, 1961. Louis was employed for many years as a truck driver for the Freeman Shoe Factory in Beloit and Hufcor Inc in Janesville, WI. Louis enjoyed spending golfing with his buddy's when time allowed but his true passion was driving his truck. He was a member of Central Christian Church in Beloit. Louis is survived by his wife, Darlene of Beloit, children, Martin McCollum of Janesville, WI, Pamela Teubert of Edgerton, WI, and Dan McCollum of England, WI, fifteen grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sons, Mike, Bob, and Steve McCollum. Funeral held July 1, 2011 at Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home 424 Prospect Street in Beloit with David Meding of Central Christian Church officiating. Committal was in Shopiere Cemetery.
