Mrs. Guffey was a member of the Avondale Sympathy Club and American Legion Auxiliary Post 231, Yorktown.
She is survived by her husband, Fred D. Guffey; two sons, Shirley Garrett, Muncie, and J.V. Buck, Chicago; one sister, Mrs. Leeta Hiate, Muncie; two brothers, Elmo Garrett, Yorktown, and Lonza Garrett, Muncie; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Parson Mortuary with Rev. Ronald McGregor officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory. Friends may call at the mortuary 2:30-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday and prior to services Monday.
