Harold Elmer Madsen

Harold E. Madsen died July 31, 2003 in the loving care of the Paradise Adult Family Home in Marysville at the age of 86.

He was a building contractor for many years in the Seattle area. While serving in World War II for five years, Harold received the Distinguished Flying Cross as a captain in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was an avid golfer and was a member of both the Lynnwood Elks Golfing Group and the Everett Golf and Country Club. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and endless supply of jokes he loved to share with family and friends.

Harold is survived by his loving wife Helen of 56 years; two daughters, Betty (Tom) Torrey of Concrete, and Janet (Gary) Short of Snohomish; brothers, Arnold of Seattle, and Richard of Texas; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family.

Memorial services will be held at the Everett Golf and Country Club on Thursday, August 21st at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Snohomish County or Medic I.
