Edwin Dale Taylor, 85, of San Clemente died Tuesday evening. He was born in Durant, Oklahoma and was a retired Lt. Col. in the U.S. Air Force. He was also a Royal Air Force volunteer fighter pilot serving in the "American Eagle Squadrons" during WWII.

He is survived by his wife Edith Taylor, nephews Tim Spohn, Stacey Spohn and many other nieces, nephews and friends.

A Memorial service will be held at the San Diego Aerospace Museum in Balboa Park at 1pm on Saturday, October 18, 2003. The memorial will be held in the "Flight Pavilion" in the Aerospace Museum. Burial will be at the Riverside National Cemetery across from March Air Force Base.
