Funeral services for Mrs. J. F. Galagan, who passed away Saturday morning, June 1, at St. Lucas Hospital, were held in the Immaculate Conception Church Monday, June 3, at 10 o'clock with the Rev. Robert Dillon officiating. Burial was made in Calvary Cemetery with Ed Healy, Jr., Ralph Gibbs, Harvey Kelly, Charles Popelke, Robert Caron, all of this city, and Charles Bockman, Sr. of Waterville, serving as pallbearers. Father Foley officiated at the grave.
Margaret Healy Galagan was born July 2, 1873, in Waseca county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Healy, pioneer residents of that county. She attended the schools of Waseca and Waterville. In the fall of 1893 she moved with her parents to Elysian. In January, 1896, she was married to Joseph {ERROR, should be James} F. Galagan of Elysian. They made their home there for a time before coming to Faribault several years ago. She was a member of the Rosary Society which attended the funeral in a body. She is survived by her husband, J. F. Galagan, and one daughter, Celestine (Mrs. Edmund Caron) and sons, Clifford of Detroit, Mich., and Kenneth of Minneapolis, and Emmet of this city, and one grandson, Richard Caron.
