VOLL, GLADYS BICKEL, 83, of Columbus, OH, formerly of Louisville, passed away June 30, 2011 in Columbus. She was a retired bus driver for Miller Transportation, and a 50-year member of Eastern Star. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church for many years and later was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Alvin Richard Voll Sr.; son, George William Voll; and sister, Mary Pounds. Survivors include her son, Al "A.R." Voll (Judy); daughter-in-law, Charla Voll; grandchildren, Scott (Kris), Eric, Brian and Jason Voll (Crystal); great-grandchildren, Dylan, Ashlynn, Kaitlyn, Erin and Kaden Voll; and sisters, Mildred Ackerman and Hazel Sasser.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy., with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions are suggested to WHAS Crusade for Children or charity of choice.
