US ARMY - KOREA
He is the Son of Zenon Minkowski and Jean Buczek Minkowski
He is the Beloved husband of the late Florence (née Schozer); father to Dennis Minkowski and Jane Stanzini (née Minkowski);father-in-law to Fabio Stanzini and Joan Anne Minkowski (née Griffin); loving and devoted grandfather of Anne Minkowski and Emily Stanzini. Brother to Regina Alfano (née Minkowski) and the late Richard Minkowski. He will be missed by family as well as many friends!
He died where he wished - at home in East Northport, NY with his family nearby. It was the exit "Pop" truly wanted and it came days after he reached his goal - seeing his granddaughter, Anne, graduate from High School. While he could not attend or even view the webcast HE KNEW! The man was awesome and left a very strong family
" Eternal rest grant unto him Oh Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace, Amen."
"Joy in the Morning"
"I'll sing you a song of a sky full of bluebirds
With never the sign of a cloud up above.
I'll give you the gift of the laughter of children,
And joy in the morning, love.
Joy, joy, joy in the morning
Joy in the morning as long as you live.
And these are the gifts I will give to my darling
These are the things to my darling I'll give"
A Celebration of his life was held on 2 Jul 2011.
