Arthur Byron Hall, Jr., born March 2, 1928 to Arthur B. Hall, Sr. and Faye Jane (Finley) Hall. He passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011. He was born in Eagle Point, OR and raised in Medford, OR. He attended Medford Senior High School. He served two years in the Merchant Marines.

He married his beloved wife on June 18, 1947. They moved to the Roseburg area in 1957. Art was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In his younger years he enjoyed roller skating, driving race cars and boating. He enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, and family trips to the ocean. In later years he loved to watch the rodeo, the PBR, and his favorite-Walker, Texas Ranger!

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eula Rose Hall; six children: Dede and Eddie Torres; Carole and Gary Martin; Betty and Bob Biesinger; Rosie and Tony Parker; Art and Tere Hall; Mary and Carl T. Smith; 14 grandchildren: Dena Torres; Eddie Torres, Jr.; Michael Torres; Nancy Herbert; Scott Greenwalt; Deanna Greenwalt; Heather Goin, Emmit Parker; Travis Hall; Trever Hall; Nathen Pizzuto; Nicholas Pizzuto; Tim Smith, Jr. and Shaylene Smith; 21 great-grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother; two brothers; one sister; one grandson, Ernie Martin; one granddaughter, Verissa Hall; one great-grandson, Amos Herbert and one great great-grandson, Jordan Estivallo.

A celebration of life will be held at the Winston Community Center on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 11 a.m.
