U.S. Congressman. He engaged in mercantile pursuits, served as president of the village of Little Falls, New York, (1834-35) and became president of the Herkimer County Bank at Little Falls, in 1839. In 1849, he was elected as a Wing to the Thirty-first Congress, serving until 1851. An unsuccessful candidate for election, he resumed his position as president of the Herkimer County Bank at Little Falls, until his death at age 65.
