Neva Irene Thompson, 83, Maryville, Mo., formerly of Hopkins, Mo. died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Golden Living Center, Maryville.
Neva was born Jan. 14, 1927, in Clearmont, Mo. to Daniel Ross and Ruby L. Kivett Garten.
A homemaker, she married Wilbur Dean Parker and after his death married Tommy Thompson who also preceded her in death.
Neva was a member of the Wray Memorial United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Preceding her in death: husbands; parents; daughter Patty Lee; grandsons Shawn Saucers, Scott Buyas, Jason Booth, Shad Nicks; brothers Charles, Clyde, Jim, Floyd, Glen and Dale Garten; and sisters Edre (Peg) Anderson and Mary Cecil.
Survivors include: daughters Deana (Ernie) Bosley, Hopkins, Mimi (Tony) Buyas, Maryville, Peggy Lynn Evans, Ottawa, Kan.,; and sons Robert Dean (Anna Mae) Parker, Parnell, Mo., Daniel Thompson, Kansas City, Mo.; brother Ralph Garten, Mesa, Ariz.; sister: Doris Morehouse, Berthoud, Colo.; 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation Tuesday, July 13, 7 to 8 p.m. at Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville.
Funeral services 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Parnell, Mo.
