Died. - March 4, 1904, at her home near Brownell, Kansas – Mrs. Archibald Hays. Mrs. Emma Anna Hays was born in Ohio, April 23, 1860; came to Kanas at the age of 13. Married August 29, 1882 to Archibald Hays. Is the mother of eleven children. Was converted and joined the M. E. church ten years ago. It can truthfully be said she was a Christian, a good neighbor, a loving mother and a dutiful wife. She will be greatly missed by her family, and friends, and in the house of worship. Nothing ever kept her from the house of God when there were services except illness. She was intimately acquainted with the Savior. She knew how to talk to him and her voice was often heard in testimony; her daily life and generosity proving her deep interest in the Master's Kingdom.
