Blanche Ancel, 80, passed away 9 March 2009 after a short illness due to complications from cancer. She was born in Martinez, California on December 13, 1928.
She lived in Lompoc for over 40 years and spent the last two years living in San Diego. Blanche was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 to 1952 and retired from civil service as an accountant. She loved animals and loved to travel.
Blanche is survived by her daughter, Debbie Ancel Van Hyfte of San Diego and her son, Scott Ancel of Milford, New Jersey.
Her ashes have been inurned at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, California.
