David Francis Snoeberger was the son of David Robert Snoeberger and Frances Elizabeth Morgan. He was born October 19, 1919 in Joplin, Jasper, Missouri and died on December 25, 2010 on Mercer Island, King, Washington.

During World War II, he served as a Major and S-3 in the The 97th Chemical Mortar Battalion ( Motorized ) in the US Army in Europe. He received the Bronze Star Medal during May and June for having "distinguished himself by meritorious service during the period 8 April to 8 May, 1945, in Germany, in connection with military operations against an enemy of the United States."
