"Death of Mrs. Blake" Mrs. Minerva Blake, wife of Tom Blake, aged 25 years, died at the family home in the southwest part of town last Saturday, and was buried Monday afternoon. The deceased leaves three children, the youngest about one month of age, and a husband to mourn her death. She died of a complication of ailments which the best medical talent of the town was unable to control. Although she had been ill for more than a month, the relapse which resulted in her death was of about a week's duration. Funeral services were held at the home on Monday afternoon. W. T. McConnell, in charge of the ceremonies, made a few comforting remarks to the bereaved family and friends. Mrs. Blake was a member of the Christian church."
