George William Kincaid, 82, of Desert Hot Springs, CA died September 6, 2007 in Palm Desert, CA. He was born Sunday, March 1, 1925 to George and Bess Kincaid in Etowah, TN. He married Mary Ellen Elrod on September 16, 1944 in Dalton, GA. He worked for the Jack Bredehoft pluming and Pat Burke Plumbing Companies for many years. He was a member of Elks Lodge #1687 of Escondido as well as the habitat for Humanity. He also was a Boy Scout troop leader for many years. George served in the US Navy aboard the LST 477, serving in the Pacific Theatre. He is survived by his wife, Mary of Desert Hot Springs; his daughter, Margaret Jo Perringer of Oceanside, CA; and his son, George W. Kincaid of Queen Creek, AZ. He is also survived by 5 sisters, Nelle Niles of Marshall, NC, Juanita Chastain of Dalton, GA, Carolyn Brewer of Athens, TN, Bobbie Byrnes of Houston, TX, and Marian Kincaid of Athens, TN; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be private at the request of the family.
