He is survived by Audrey, his wife of 54 years; his daughter, Catherine Hill and
son-in-law, Boysie Hill; son, Lawrence Burdett Jr. and daughter-in-law, Deborah
Burdett; four grandchildren, Chad Hill, Derek Hill, Lori Burdett, and Sara
Burdett; sister, Joan Curtis; and two brother, Bob Burdett and Joe Burdett. He
was devoted to his wife and family. Everyone knew him as Larry.

Larry was born in Missoula on March 25, 1929.

He retired from the Navy as a lieutenant commander after more than 23 years of service, and later retired from Caltrans after 12 years of service.

Larry loved spending time with his grandchildren, his family and friends. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, dominoes, gardening and reading and loved to decorate
his home for every holiday. Larry was a real handyman who shared his skills with his grandsons. He was a kind, gentle, intelligent and generous man. He is sorely missed.

His ashes will be inurned at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in Point Loma, Calif.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to one of Larry’s favorite charities, Father Joe, San Diego, CA.
