BUXTON, N.C. - Mrs. Caddie Midgette Gaskins, 85. died Wednesday [Nov. 1, 1972] at 5 p.m. in a Norfolk hospital.
A lifelong resident of Buxton, she was the widow of Urias O. Gaskins and a daughter of Joseph Christian and Mrs. Deborah Farrow Midgette.
She was a member of Buxton United Methodist Church.
Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Leona Jennette and Mrs. Sybil Anslow of Buxton, Mrs. Rebecca Burrus and Mrs. Rossie Shoemaker of Virginia Beach; a son, Edgar C. Gaskins of Buxton; a brother, Eph Midgette of Buxton; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
The body was taken to Twiford Island Chapel, Hatteras.
