Funeral services for Doris L. Bruhn of Fenton will be held at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 7, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Fairville. Pastor Michael Wolters will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery, Fairville. The Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Fenton is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bruhn died Monday, Jan. 4, 1993, at Palo Alto County Hospital. She was 80.
Doris Louise (Meyer) Bruhn was born Oct. 18, 1912, in Whittemore, the daughter of George and Anna (Nissen) Meyer. She attended parochial school in Whittemore.
On Jan. 17, 1932, Doris and Erwin C. Bruhn were married at Whittemore. After their marriage the couple farmed one mile east of Depew. In 1971 they moved into Fenton. Mrs. Bruhn was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Fairville, LWML.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Ruth) Dietrich, of Cylinder and Mrs. Richard (Alice) Hinken of LeMars; a son, William Bruhn of Fenton; eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Lydia Grienert, Mrs. William (Verda) Ostwald and Mrs. Bert (Helen) Seely, all of Whittemore, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Alice Meyer of Whittemore.
Mrs. Bruhn was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin; a grandson, Justin Bruhn; a sister, Alma Meyer; a brother, Lawrence Meyer; and a son-in-law, Karl Klein.
