Carolyn was born April 25, 1958 in Bakersfield, California to Charles and Lynll Champion. She grew up in Anchorage, Alaska and lived the past 27 years in Southern California. She was a long time employee of Tower Petroleum Corporation and, most recently was employed by Allenco Well Service Company. Carolyn passed away June 23, 2011 in Newport Beach following an 18 year battle with recurring cancers. Carolyn fought bravely through each ordeal and resulting treatments and never gave up. She gained support from her deep, abiding and unending Christian faith, her father, her family and many friends. Carolyn is survived by her father and step-mother, Charles and Susan Champion; sister-in-law, Dawn Champion; nephew, Dan Champion; niece, Mihaela Champion and aunt, Kathleen Coffelt. She is also survived by Susan's family members, Tori and Kevin Keyes, Eric and Caroline Ten Eyck , Victoria Daly plus numerous cousins. Carolyn was predeceased by her mother, Lynll C. Champion, brother John H. Champion, nephew Christopher J. Champion and Susan's son Jeffry H. Ten Eyck Carolyn will always be remembered as the wonderful, caring and special human being she became. Her ashes will be scattered at her favorite spot on earth in the San Juan Islands in Washington state, near the Champion family vacation home, where she will join family members who preceded her. May she rest in the peace she so richly deserves.
