Robert James Hardy, 88, a long time resident of Fielding, Utah, died December 24, 1964, in a Brigham City Hospital of pneumonia.

He was born on October 14, 1876 in Farmington, Utah, a son of William and Harriet Ann Wood Hardy.

He attended Utah State Agricultural College and moved to Fielding, Utah in 1903, where he has lived since then.

He married Alice Hess in 1904 in the Logan LDS Temple. She died in 1906.

He married Florence Zitzman on October 26, 1926 in Logan, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.

He was an elder in the Fielding Ward and had been a Ward Teacher.

Surviving are his widow, Fielding, Utah; three daughters: Mrs G W (Hattie) Calvin, Long Beach, California; Mrs Wayne S (Beverly) Jeppesen, Brigham City, Utah; Mrs Marilyn Sanders, Fielding, Utah; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister: Mrs Arch (Kate) Sanders, Logan, Utah.

Burial was held in the Fielding City Cemetery, Fielding, Utah.
