He recieved his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. Upon completion of his education, he entered the United States Coast Guard and was honorably discharged in 1976. He was employed at Johns Hopkins University, but his real passion was cars. So much so, that he went to machanic school just to learn more and graduated only second in his class. Rodell love to talk and made numerous friends where ever he went.
Rodell married Kim M. McClendon on June 20, 1987. From this union two children were born son, Rodell Jr. and daughter, Kelly.
Rodell leaves to mourn: his mother Catherine Anderson; wife Kim A. Anderson; son Rodell L. Anderson Jr.; daughter Kelly Anderson; grand daughter Sole' Anderson; four sisters Carol Daniels, Catherine Neal, Peggy Anderson and Cecilia Anderson; two brothers Joseph and Robert Anderson, his brother John preceded him in death. Six sister-in-laws, four brother-in-laws, neices, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
