Laura Ginn Jones, 86, died Friday, April 21, 2006, in Bayview Nursing Center.
Mrs. Jones was born Nov. 10, 1919, in Brownsville, Texas, a daughter of Robert Lee Ginn and Gladys Rentfro Ginn.
Mrs. Jones was a 1st. Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps. She was a flight nurse and served in the Burma campaign. She was assigned to the 821st Medical Air Evacuation Squadron, 10th Air Force. She received her nursing degree from Jeff Davis Nursing School in Houston, Texas, in 1942.
Survivors include three sons, a daughter, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence G. Jones.
