Connie Jo Coon Albrecht 1938 ~ 2009 Connie Albrecht, returned to Heavenly Father's arms after a valiant struggle with lung disease on May 27, 2009.She was born July 19, 1938 in Salt Lake City, to Clyde and Melba Purser Coon. She married Maurice Albrecht July 19, 1975 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Connie was a co-owner of the Wesco Transport Inc. She was an outdoor kind of gal and loved to hunt, fish and go camping. Connie was a wonderful person and was always thinking of others before herself. Connie is survived by her husband, sons, Bruce C., Mark (Kim), Marty (Fonda), Bret (Sandy) Millett, Jim (Brenda) Garland, 10 grandchildren, six and a half great-grandchildren, stepsons, Steven, Torval, stepdaughters, Dorothy, Lori, Maurica, sisters, Arlene (Rocky) Shaw, Nancy Martinez, brother, Steve ( Karen) Coon. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family would like to thank the Lung Transplant team for five years of wonderful service and SICU at the U of U Hospital for their help of Connie's care in her last days. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna. A gathering will be held from 12:30 - 1 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the U of U lung Transplant.
