Services for Dane Anderson, 44, Sammamish, Wash., were Friday at First Baptist Church in Clay Center. Graveside services followed at Great Bend Cemetery. A later service was in Seattle. Mr. Anderson died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, in Camano Island, WA. He was born March 1, 1962, in Concordia, the son of Warren and Barbara Forkner Anderson. He grew up in Russell and Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas University. He attended KU on a football scholarship and participated in the Hall of Fame Bowl. Mr. Anderson was a businessman. He married Jennifer L. Engleman in March 1992 in Independence, IA. She survives, of the home. Other survivors include his parents, Clay Center; a brother, Eric, Lingle, WY; a sister, Lisa Contreras, San Antonio; and a grandmother, Rosalie Forkner Rose, Torrington, WY. He was preceded in death by a brother, Troy, in 1989. Visitation at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center. Memorials to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Mid America Chapter.
