Services for Tommy Joe Bynum, 79, of Canton, Texas, are scheduled for 3:00 pm Saturday July 2, 2011 at Eubank Funeral Chapel with Dr. Gary L. Hearon and Rev. Don Childress officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Canton, Texas.

He passed away June 29, 2011 at his home in Canton, TX.

Mr. Bynum was born December 11, 1931 in Canton, TX, to Joe B. Bynum and Annie Lee Warner Bynum.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Canton. Mr. Bynum was raised in the Oakland Community. During the Korean War, he served in the US Navy aboard a battleship off the Korean Peninsula. Mr. Bynum retired from Barton Industries and owned his own business for many years in California before returning to Canton in 1985 to enjoy his country home where he raised cattle. He enjoyed going to swap meets and First Monday Trade Days. He loved the Lord and his family.

Surviving are Wife, Wanda Bynum of Canton, TX; Son, Craig & Stephanie Bynum of Henderson, Nevada; Daughter, Ellen Bynum Lund of La Puente, California; 2 Step Sons: Dan Webb of Canton, TX and Scott & Liberty Webb of Canton, TX; 3 Brothers: Gene Bynum of Hubbard, TX, Billy Bynum of Florida and Jerry Bynum of Longview, TX; 2 Sisters: Nelda Sewell of Grand Saline, TX and Barbara Burns of Canton, TX; 5 Grandchildren; 4 Step-Grandchildren; and 1 Great-Grandchild.

Tommy was preceded in death by his Parents and a Brother, Gail Bynum.

Pallbearers are Kirk Burns, Joe Burns, Ron Burns, Clay Warner, Eddie Warner and Luke Warner. Honorary Pallbearers are John Powell, Malvin Fowler, Mike Chambless, Nolen Black, Harold Jacobs and Ed Housden.
